The Aims and Objects for which the West Bengal Law Clerks Association (WBLCA) is established are as follows:
To promote, safeguard, and advance the professional interests, rights, and welfare of all law clerks and legal assistants working in various courts, tribunals, registration offices, and legal institutions across West Bengal.
To unite law clerks under a single representative body that fosters cooperation, solidarity, and coordination among all members in the pursuit of justice and professional dignity.
To assist in the smooth administration of justice by maintaining a high standard of efficiency, discipline, ethics, and integrity among all members of the association.
To uphold the Constitution of India, strengthen the rule of law, and contribute to the proper functioning of the judicial system through lawful and peaceful means.
To take up matters related to working conditions, remuneration, and welfare of law clerks with appropriate authorities and to advocate for necessary reforms and legal recognition of their role.
To organize conferences, workshops, seminars, and legal awareness programs aimed at improving legal knowledge, vocational skills, and awareness among members.
To maintain and develop a library, reference materials, and digital resources for educational and professional use by members of the association.
To promote legal literacy among the general public and assist in providing access to justice for economically weaker and marginalized sections of society through voluntary legal support initiatives.
To cooperate and maintain relations with other legal associations, bar councils, institutions, and allied organizations at the state, national, and international levels for mutual benefit and exchange of knowledge.
To raise funds through lawful means to support welfare measures, educational activities, and emergency aid for deserving members or their families.
To establish welfare programs such as insurance, medical assistance, pension schemes, or relief funds for the benefit of members in distress.
To take appropriate steps to prevent abuse or malfunctions within the justice system and to suggest constructive reforms that uphold fairness, transparency, and accessibility.
To perform such lawful activities as may be necessary or incidental to the fulfillment of the above aims and objects, or as decided by the association from time to time in furtherance of its mission.
